Class Code: 8826

Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:

Applies to all employees (except clerical employees and healthcare employees) of facilities including, but not limited to, skilled nursing, assisted living, adult congregate living facilities, retirement living centers, and memory care facilities.

Also applies to continuing care retirement communities. These communities may offer more than one kind of housing and different levels of care. In the same community, there may be individual homes or apartments for residents who still live on their own, an assisted living facility for people who need some help with daily care, and a nursing home for those who require more care.

This classification includes those employees providing linen service, housekeeping and transportation. Other services provided include, but are not limited to, barbers, beauticians, chaplains, librarians, porters, maintenance workers, gardeners, valets, store workers, security guards, garage employees and receptionists. Also included within the scope of Code 8826 are administrative personnel who do not qualify for assignment to Code 8810. Administrative personnel may include, but are not limited to, marketing directors, personnel directors, public relations directors, recreation or activities directors, resident services directors, social services directors, executive directors and administrators.

Codes 8824 and 8826 are not applicable to hospitals. (Refer to Codes 8833 and 9040.)

Refer to Code 8842 for group homes, group foster homes, and halfway houses that provide rehabilitation services, shelters, and independent supportive living homes for mentally, physically, or emotionally challenged individuals.

Senior citizen centers for seniors in need of care and limited medical assistance that do not provide overnight sleeping accommodations are classified to Codes 8868 and 9101.
