Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:

Code 7425 applies to flying crews operating helicopters.

When helicopters perform functions that are ordinarily performed by fixed-wing aircraft, Code 7425 is applied.

For example, aerial transportation of an employer’s personnel by the employer in the course of the employer’s business is normally assigned to Code 7421 but it is assigned to Code 7425 if conducted by helicopter.

Some operations can only be performed by helicopter. Examples of “external load” operations for helicopters include sky crane and aerial logging operations.

•    Medical helicopter operations are classified to Code 7425. Medical personnel who are employed by the helicopter operations and accompany patients in-flight are considered to be members of the crew and are classified to Code 7425.
•    Code 7425 is assigned to operations described by Code 7421 when conducted with helicopters.
