Class Code: 3334

Per NCCI's Scopes Code Description:

Code 3334 is applied to insureds engaged in the manufacture of tin foil. While the classification contemplates the melting of pig metal and the casting of the metal into ingots which are subsequently reduced in rolling mills, most insureds receive their raw material from others in the form of coil stock of aluminum or tin-lead alloy. The coil stock in various widths is progressively rolled into light foil and wound onto cores. The foil is then annealed to produce the desired softness or hardness required depending upon the foil’s ultimate use. The automatic spooling and packaging of various types of foil, i.e., household foil, foil tape, thread, lacquer-coated foil and the gluing of foil onto a paper backing for cigarette package manufacturers, is contemplated within the scope of this classification.
